In June 1894, Congress passed legislation making the first Monday of September a day to recognize workers.
I sure do appreciate that.
Instead of lounging on the couch watching HGTV, though, I have a to-do list that will fit this day like a nice pair of leather Isotoner gloves. Are Isotoners still popular? Who knows? Ok, so maybe not the best analogy, but give me a break. It’s my day off; you can’t expect top notch creativity today. 😉
Anyway, so today I’ll check things off that list and prepare for the shortened work week ahead (still thinking just a touch about work). I don’t mind doing “work-type” things today, because guess what. I’m doing them in my PJs. Yes ma’am/yes sir that makes a huge difference.
One thing on my to-do list today is to make, well, another list. I have a lot on my plate, lately. It’s time I figure out what’s beneficial and what’s just busy work. “How do you figure that out,” you ask? Good question. Maybe after I actually do so, I’ll have some type of an answer for you. 🙂 I’ll try to remember to keep you posted on that one.
Hope you enjoy your Labor Day holiday with some much needed rest from your labor. It’s the perfect time to be still, watch a movie, read a book or catch up on some of your favorite 52 Weeks to Be Completely You posts from weeks past.
Until next time…
